A Tribute to Dad

Dad, So many times I think of you
And tears come to my eyes,
For times I may have hurt you,
In the journey of our lives.

Yet, you know that I loved you,
And I know you loved me,
We found the peace between us,
But more time was not to be.

I miss so much about you,
As the years go quickly by,
But I will not forget you,
As memories never die.

I’ll keep the sweetest moments
In the forefront of my soul,
To call upon in hard times
When I need a hand to hold.

Dad, when we meet in heaven,
And the gleam is in your eye,
We’ll soar the starlit heavens,
Nevermore to say goodbye.
